The Klingspor Museum in Offenbach (link) is a renowned museum for typography and artists’ books. Yet with its specialized focus, it’s a challenge to draw the interest of the general public in the vicinity. While Uwe Loesch is responsible for attracting people into the museum through his posters, I strive to make their visit a more pleasant experience with better captions and clearer orientation.
With the information on clipboards, each visitor can decide how much she wants to know about the exhibits on display. The labels don’t clutter the view and the format allows for additional text, while being easy to produce in-house in its A5 size. Most design elements adhere to this principle.
